…Becoming the Gospel….

In a world that cries out for redistribution of life’s necessities, healing of the land, and for non-violent ways of addressing differences, we Christians look to the example given in the life and ministry of Jesus. Over the years many people have struggled with the question:

“How can I - how can my church - be a force for change that transforms the fear and greed of our world into shalom ~ peace, healthy relationships within the created order, wholeness of mind, body and spirit?”

We at Wellspring, are here to serve the people who are church to be the church in ways that transform lives. The foundation of our efforts is lived out in an event that we call “Becoming the Gospel.” This event has, over the past 35 years, assisted thousands of people from around the world to encounter the God of power-filled transformation who empowers us to be good news in our world.

What does a ‘Becoming the Gospel’ event involve?

We assist your listening ~ Wellspring provides a place of beauty and hospitality in which one can find holy rest in a time spent in silence listening for and to God individually and in companionable silence.

We engage with the work of call ~ Where does the God of justice touch my heart? To whom and with whom am I sent with the message that each one of us was born in love, by love and for love? How do I know it’s God calling?

We become a small learning community that will be with one another in the deep places of life. Seasoned leaders offer the catalyst for the work of reflection and sharing that engenders creativity and clarity, sometimes even healing. Always seeking to live a balanced life, we create a space for lightheartedness that is a necessity for life ~ especially in community!
